The ARBONET team requests reception reports from observers who receive transmissions from any one of the various payloads aboard ARBONET-2.

In Memory of:
The ARBONET-2 flight is being dedicated to the memory of long time amateur radio high altitude balloon enthusiast Kim R. Miles, N9IS who passed away on March 27th, 2007 at the age of 51. Kim was a prominent member of the central Indiana Windtrax organization and had over 30 high altitude balloon flight operations to his credit.
Expected Radio Horizon
The map below depicts the expected Radio Horizon for the 2 meter transmitting payloads at Altitude. These include APRS, Beacon and Cross Band Repeater. ARBONET 2 is predeicted to fly on a heading of approximately 128 degrees South East downrange from the launch site by 45 miles. This shifts the pattern favorably toward our SE neighbor states.
